Dear Winnetka Family,

This week, we are promoting the importance of Character Counts and teaching our scholars to learn more each day about good traits that help them become contributing citizens in society. In addition, we will have a theater performance in partnership with City of Dallas Arts and Culture aligned to Character Counts and it will focus on teaching our scholars about how they can help make our world a better place through the actions and choices they make. Parents can help support from home by praising your child's enthusiasm, honesty, kindness, teamwork, fairness, and humility. By making your praise more specific, you help your child learn that character traits matter, and you communicate appreciation for who they are, not just for what they do. Thank you for your collaboration as we work together to support All scholars in the Continued Pursuit of Excellence! Wildcat Pride, The Future is Bright!

Estimada Familia de Winnetka,

Esta semana, estamos promoviendo la importancia de Semana del buen Carácter y enseñando a nuestros alumnos a aprender más cada día sobre las buenas características que los ayudan a convertirse en ciudadanos contribuyentes en la sociedad. Además, tendremos una función de teatro en colaboración con City of Dallas Arts and Culture alineada con Buen Carácter y se centrará en enseñar a nuestros alumnos cómo pueden ayudar a hacer de nuestro mundo un lugar mejor a través de las acciones y decisiones que toman. Los padres pueden ayudar desde el hogar elogiando el entusiasmo, la honestidad, la amabilidad, el trabajo en equipo, la justicia y la humildad de su hijo/a. Al hacer que su elogio sea más específico, ayuda a su hijo/a a aprender que los rasgos de carácter son importantes y comunica aprecio por quiénes son, no solo por lo que hacen. ¡Gracias por su colaboración mientras trabajamos juntos para apoyar a todos los alumnos en la Búsqueda continua de la Excelencia! Winnetka scholars will be invited to create Dia de los Muertos Altar in Honor of Loved ones. These altars will be on display at Mountain View College from October 26-November 2nd. The Festival with music, food, and events will take place on November 2nd.

Se invitará a los eruditos de Winnetka a crear el Altar del Día de los Muertos en honor a sus seres queridos. Estos altares estarán en exhibición en Mountain View College del 26 de octubre al 2 de noviembre. El Festival con música, comida y eventos se llevará a cabo el 2 de noviembre.
