What was the change?

During the renaissance, which had started in Italy, had caused a big expansion during the early modern era. It was full of art, learning, & architecture that was spread around that time. The people of Italy hoped to bring back the culture of classical Greece & Rome with the movement; though it had brought new things instead. New styles of art & writing. Also had spreaded from northern Italy to the rest of Europe too. Italy had 3 advantages that made the Renaissance it birthplace: Advance cities, wealthy merchant class, & the classical heritage of Greece & Rome.


Who were the people associated with the change?

Some important people that were involved with the Renaissance were Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, & more. Da Vinci, a renaissance man, was a famous painter, sculptor, inventor, and scientist. He studied on the muscles move and such. He had filled notebooks with observations and sketches. Some of his masterpieces that are known all over like the Mona LIsa & The Last Supper. Michelangelo, another renaissance man, was a painter, sculptor,, and poet. He was famous for portraying the human body in painting and sculpting. His masterpieces were paintings on the ceilings of the Sistine Chapel, and the statue of David.

How did the change impact the society at the time?

It had impact a lot on society during the era. Like the printing press changed society by making more information available for people to have. Greater availability of books increased more learning and a rise of literacy throughout Europe. Even made amounts of new discoveries, maps, and charts that led to more discoveries during it.


How is that change evidence in today's modern society?

The change had improved more throughout time. Literacy & art had expanded a lot around the world. Also, humanists still attempt to study the understandings of the world too. People began to question structures and practices of human potential & architecture today as well.
