The Eagle's Nest

August 22, 2021

Happy Sunday Eagles!

Welcome to the first week of the 2021-2022 school year! We are excited to see our students and look forward to working with you this year. We enjoyed seeing so many of our families at Open House this past Thursday.

We have five important reminders for you this week:

1. Kindergarten parents may walk their child to class Monday through Friday of this week only. All other families may walk their children to class on Monday only. Masks are optional, but strongly encouraged for staff, students, and essential visitors.

2. Our first bell rings at 7:30am and the tardy bell is at 8:00am.

3. School fees for all students this year are $31, this includes the technology fee, instructional fee, and art fee. Kindergartners will receive iPads and students in first through fifth grades will receive Dell laptops. Parents must sign the 1:1 paperwork that students will bring home on their first day to receive their device.

4. Breakfast and lunch are free for all students this year.

5. If you did not get a car/walk-up pick-up tag during Open House, then the tags will be sent home with your child on Monday. Until you have received your tag, please be ready show ID for pickup.

Practical Information for the First Few Days of School

  • All students arrive between 7:30 am and 8:00 am and should report directly to their grade level. There will be multiple staff members to assist ALL students.

  • In the AM, walkers may come to the front entrance on New River Dr. or walk-up to our back entrance.

  • In the PM, walkers leave from our front doors and walk-ups leave from the library entrance on the side of our school, if a parent is picking them up.

  • Students should bring a water bottle to school. Staff will assist in refilling water bottles.

  • Please make sure and follow the uniform guidelines and dress appropriately for recess and PE days.

Car and Bus Rider Information

  • Many CEEM staff members will be present and will help guide students to classes. You do not have to be anxious for your younger students. We will support your Eagle every step of the way even if they do not know their teacher's name.
  • All car riders should enter the CEEM parking lot off of South Dr. to the car rider line. There will be no drop offs on New River Dr.
  • Bus riders will arrive on campus and will be greeted by staff on New River Dr.
  • Staff will help bus riders exit the bus and direct them to the proper location.
