The Weekly Update #4
October Update

Happening This Month
CTE Focus Group- Chuck Boyd from SREB will be again joining us for our annual focus team planning meeting. Following the CTE Pathway review that happened in 2021, we have continued to invite CTE teachers and school staff to participate in updating and planning actions steps for all CTE programs in the school years to follow. This year we will be hosting at GAC on October 24th, and we hope to include some middle school elective teachers to focus on bridging CTE pathways at the high school, to introductory courses at the middle school level.
CTE Marzano Scales Work- This past month, various groups of CTE pathway teachers joined Marzano associates to continue work on creating Marzano Scales for all pathway classes. The CTE department is committed to providing rigorous standards based learning opportunities for all students, and with collaboration among CTE pathway peers this initiative is possible. All CTE pathway courses will have their first set of scales completed by October 27th. Next steps include feedback from secondary curriculum specialists and beginning to lesson plan utilizing the scales teachers have created.
