ndon Eye (English: London Eye, literally: The Eye of London "), also known as the Millennium Wheel, an elevation of 135 meters, is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe, and the highest in the world by 2006. The wheel is located on the south bank of the River Thames in the Lambeth, London, England, north of Westminster bridge, opposite the Palace of Westminster - the British Parliament. The wheel runs airline British Airways.
The London Eye architects David Marks planned and Julia Barafild. Roll 32 cells enclosed, air-conditioned passenger, or "bubbles"; Every bubble place twenty-five passengers, so all in all 800 passengers can travel wheel at the same time. The wheel rotates at a speed of 0.9 miles per hour or so, the passenger cell surrounds the wheel every half hour or so.
The wheel does not stop the rotation to pick up passengers. Speed slow enough so that passengers will be able to enter and exit the cell while the wheel movement.
