Teaching about the holidays? PBS Media has one minute videos explaining the major points behind Hanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and other holidays. Also included are a vocabulary worksheet and discussion questions linked to the video. All are free and are able to be downloaded.

Add Rigor to Your Kahoot! Review
Many of you already use Kahoot! in your classrooms to engage learners. Now, you can increase rigor by having students create the questions to be used in the Kahoot! game by using a google spreadsheet. Read Jacqueline Prester's article How to Use Google Forms for Co-Creating Kahoots With Students on the Kahoot Blog. All the directions and easy to use templates are found in Prester's article. If you don't have access to a computer, use the paper and pencil template version in the Kahoot library. If you don't have the time to create your own game, try the Kahoot! games created by the National Geographic Society. There is a large variety of subjects in science, history and geography.
Test Prep Time
Many of our students are taking Regents exams this January. Syvum lets your students practice multiple choice questions while dropping 2 choices. It also has a whole host of practice questions from other subjects where students can self assessment.
