Park Terrace Elementary
October 6, 2021 Newsletter
Greetings Park Terrace Families!
I can tell as I walk around the school and visit classrooms that our teachers are creating engaging, interesting and personalized activities to support student learning. I love seeing our teachers and students in action and observing those “Aha” moments as students grasp something new. Seeing this in the eyes of a student is truly one of the joys in working in education. I am so proud of our staff for creating a wonderful learning environment each day.
Here are a couple of reminders as we look ahead to the month of October:
- October 11 & 12: Picture days
- October 19 & 28: In-person conferences and other options will be available to connect either online or by phone. Teachers are currently working on creating schedules to send to the families of students. As teachers finalize their schedules, we will send more information on how to sign up and the exact dates and times.
- October 18-22: Fall break. There is no school for students.
This is Homecoming week at Spring Lake Park High School and spirit week across the district. It’s fun to see staff and students participating in themed days and fun activities as a part of our SLP community. We’ll end the week with a school spirit day and encourage everyone to wear their SLP gear or school colors. Keep up the amazing outfits, everyone! It certainly adds a fun moment to everyone’s day!
Have a great rest of the week, and Go Panthers!
Sincerely,
Mona Perkins
Principal
