General Info
The movement of air from an area of high pressure to an area of low pressure is wind.
Winds are caused by the unequal heating of Earth's surface.
Local Winds
* There are two different types of local winds
* One is a land breeze and the other is a sea breeze
Sea Breeze
Sea breezes happen during the daytime during the daytime
The air blows from the sea toward the land
Land Breeze
Land breezes happen at night
The air blows from the land to the sea
Local winds
Local winds blow from a ocean or a lake to the land
Local winds are created because of the unequal heating of Earths surface within a small area.
Global Winds
Global winds happen when there is an unequal heating of Earth's surface over a large area. The winds in the Northern Hemisphere turn right and the ones in the Southern Hemisphere turn left. There are There are four types of global winds they are Prevaling Westerlies, Horse latitudes, Trade Winds, and the Doldrums.
