HJH Parent Newsletter - February 2018
Attendance
Incentives:
- You get to learn every day!
- Reward "party" for those with 100% in all classes.
- Learning
- Drawing for prizes with those that meet at least 98% in all classes
- Knowledge
- 90% in every class is required to participate in the semester reward
Consequences:
- Students with less than 90% do not get credit for their class and are required to make up the time.
- Time is made up after school OR on Saturdays.
- A fee of $15 is required to attend on Saturday.
- Students miss out on instruction and get behind academically.

Reminders
Please help us help your student by reinforcing the following at home:
- Cell Phones - cannot be used after 7:45 without permission. Devices will be taken up, turned in to the office, and will require $15 to get back.
- Tardy bell is 7:55. That is the time students need to be in class ready to work.
- Students should not be dropped off before 7:15. We don't have people on duty until that time.
- Dress Code: hair must be a naturally occurring color
Incoming 6th Graders
March 29 - The HJH Administrative Team will meet with students at the Intermediate 5 campus and distribute
program guides with course descriptions and
course selection sheets.
April 3 - A parent meeting will be offered at 6:15 P.M. in the junior high cafeteria.
April 13 - Incoming 6th grade course selection sheets are DUE to their homeroom teacher.
May 23 - Incoming 6th grade students will tour the junior high campus during the school day.
August (date TBD) - 6th grade orientation
Incoming 7th & 8th Graders
March 29 - Counselors will distribute program guides
with course descriptions and course selection sheets to students.
April 3 -5:30 @ HJH - The HJH Administrative Team will offer a parent meeting in the junior high cafeteria.
April 13 - Incoming 7th and 8th grade course selection
sheets are due.
