SO Many Ways to Teach...

The Meaning of Thanksgiving!

This month children at the Learning and Little Cottages will embrace differences, explore culture, hear the story of The First Thanksgiving and participate in a school wide charity event directly benefiting our community. There are many ways this can be accomplished at home as well. The link below is a great resource for fun ways to learn at home. Please enjoy this month's newsletter to find out how your children are learning at school!

Character Building Can A Thon

This year's Character Building Can A Thon will run from Nov 4th - Nov. 24th. We encourage Children ages 3 & up to work at home, earning their own monies, to purchase non perishable items (Think thanksgiving) to donate to families in need, specifically in our community.

This year's collected Items will be donated to SPARCC- Sarasota's Safe Place & Rape Crisis Center. Home to women and children in our community. A representative of SPARCC will be personally coming to pick up these items and thank our students for their hard work and donations. Students whom donate will receive a certificate for their participation.

Families of younger students, we encourage you to donate as well by dropping non perishable items in one of the three boxes located outside of the classroom doors in the main building.
