Black History Month
February 16, 2017
February has gotten off to a great start at LHS! This week, the Theater Company surprised unsuspecting faculty, staff, and students with singing Valentine's Day telegrams, and Student Council sold beautiful carnations. Next up, LHS will be celebrating Black History Month, recognizing and honoring the countless contributions of individuals who have changed our world for the better while holding on to the ideals of culture, hard work, honor, strength, and the power in doing good. But Black History Month is not just about a handful of names from the past, but the many who continue to shape civilization for the better, each and every day, from world leaders to your neighbor next door. Read below for information about LHS's Black History Celebration taking place this month and join us for an unforgettable event! If you visit LHS, be sure to check out our main hallway, which has been adorned with numerous posters of familiar faces of inspiration!
