The God of the Sea
What he is known for
Poseidon was not just only the god of the Sea. He was also the god of storms, earthquakes, and horses. His Roman name was Neptune. He was considered as the most snarliest behavior. He was considered relentless.
He built an underwater palace. Poseidon decided he needed a wife. He married Thetis but he found out that she was cursed.The curse was her son would be greater than the father. He got scared so he married Amphitrite and had hundreds of children.
Trident
The trident is his most common symbol. It represents his power. His trident is used as a weapon also to create storms, earthquakes,floods, and tidal waves.
Dolphin
The dolphin represents the sea since that was what he was known for ruling.
Horse
He is the god of horses because he had created this animal. They were created by sticking his trident in a rock.
Poseidon is the brother of Zeus and Hades. His parents were Cronus and Rhea. Their father was the one who made them split of being gods of the universe. Since he spent most of his time in the waters he became god of the sea. Along of being god of the sea also being the protector of all aquatic features.
