Welcome Chisholm Trail Families

Hello there! My name is Mrs. Calahan and I am SO excited to be your Assistant Principal (alpha A-L). I hope you are relaxed, recharged and ready to start a school year you'll never forget. I am so delighted that you are part of our amazing learning community. I welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to partner with us in education to ensure your child’s success.

I had the privilege to teach elementary bilingual students for five years and was the 21st Century Community Learning Center Coordinator at Birdville ISD. I also worked as a bilingual K-8 Instructional Coach for International Leadership of Texas before becoming an Assistant Principal. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies from Texas Wesleyan University and my Master's degree in Educational Leadership in Administration from Texas Christian University. I am very excited about starting my seventeenth year in education!

All of us at The Trail are eager to welcome our Bulldogs. We are going to have a great year as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students which are rigorous, relevant and help them build relationships while making real-world connections.

I look forward to partnering with you as a team to have our Bulldogs reach their academic goals for a successful school year!

My Favorite Hobbies

While not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I'm a firefighter wife and together my husband, Eddie and I have four boys. We also have two dogs, Rascal and Dash. I enjoy running marathons, hiking, traveling, reading/listening to podcasts and shopping!
