Black Boys The Movie Free Screening
Women's Self Defense Class
October 25th Testing
This Week
We do not have a Community Time/Town Hall on Friday and will run a "normal" school day. Students will attend 5th hour on Friday and all 13th graders will report for Seminar.
Blessings in a Backpack Fundraiser
The West Bloomfield/Keego Harbor chapter of Blessings in a Backpack is hosting its annual Trivia Night Fundraiser on Friday, November 4th. Many of our families rely on school breakfast and lunch to feed their families throughout the week but school meals are not available when school is not in session. Blessings provides food to students over the weekends so no child goes hungry. If you cannot participate in the fundraiser, you can still donate. Please click here for more information.
Black Boys The Movie Free Screening
On OCtober 20th there will be a free screening of the movie Black Boys at Oakland Schools. For more information on the movie and the event, click here.
Women's Self Defense Class
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is bringing their Women's Self Defense Awareness Training program to OEC. The event will run on Friday, November 18th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This is a half day for students but they will miss an hour of class. This is a free program for OEC students and their families. If you are interested in participating in this event, please click here to fill out a brief form to sign up and hold your spot.
Upcoming Testing
On Tuesday, October 25th, our 9th - 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT test. 12th and 13th grade students will not report to any scheduled high school classes on the 25th.
9th - 11th grade students will report for the day to H building no later than 7:50 AM. 9th graders will be finished at approximately 12:00 PM, 10th - 11th graders will be finished at approximately 1:00 PM and students with extended time could test until approximately 2:30 PM.
