Crazy Costumes!
Trick or Treat! Halloween was here and almost everyone dressed up in costumes and went Trick or Treating. We asked several students what they were for Halloween, and here are their answers.
Austin: Ender Dragon
William: Zombie Ninja
Alexis: Audrey
Ben: Werewolf
Xander: Ninja
Regan: Witch
Mason: Scream
Tripp: Creepy Pumpkin
Then we asked a few students what their favorite costumes were.
Austin: Christmas tree
Xander: Dinosaur
Natalia: Unicorn
James: Traffic Cones
Maddie: Adison
Grayson: Mario
Jaxon: Among Us
Mason: Dinosaur
Tripp: Inflatable Banana
The final question we asked was why do you think we wear costumes for Halloween?
Austin: To keep spirits away
Someone said to have fun
Mason: Irish Tradition
Ben: Spooky
Tripp: To scare monsters and sometimes kids
After a little research it sounds like the tradition of wearing costumes was a Celtic tradition and costumes were meant to ward off ghosts.

New Year's Resolutions
Did you know that the first New Year's Eve was celebrated over 4000 years ago in Rome? Did you know that today about 1 million people gather in New York City’s Times Square to watch the ball drop? Or that about forty-five percent of Americans make New Year’s resolutions? We asked some kids in our school their New Year's resolutions , why they picked them, and what they enjoy doing to celebrate the New Year.
What is your New Year’s Resolution?
Thomas said, “My New Year’s Resolution is to be very polite.”
“My New Year's resolution is to learn more tricks on the trampoline,” Victoria said.
Ella said, “My New Year's resolution is to get better at school.”
“My New Year’s Resolution is to get better at Roblox,” Mason said.
Alexis said, “To get better at gymnastics”
Ryan J said, “To score 40 baskets”
Why did you pick that New Year’s Resolution?
Thomas said, “I chose that resolution to be a nice person and to get more friends.”
“I love going on the trampoline,” Victoria said.
“It’s hard sometimes, so I want to get better at school,” Ella said.
Mason said, “I’m not that good at Roblox.”
Alexis said, “Because it’s (gymnastics) hard to do and I want to get better at it.”
Ryan J said “Because I get the ball a lot and I like shooting.”
How did you celebrate New Year's Eve?
Mason said, “I went to my neighbor's house to watch the ball drop.”
Ryan J said, “I went to my family's house and had a party.”

Before becoming a legend in the Civil Rights Movement he was a minister.
Martin Luther King Jr. is known for the march he led in Washington DC and for the peaceful protests he supported around the country.
