Liberty Elementary - Keller ISD
Friendly Reminders
In addition, please do not use your cell phone on school property. The school drive is a school zone and unless you are hands free, please refrain from talking on the phone while dropping off or picking up.
Safety is our number one priority and we appreciate you doing your part to help us in this endeavor.
Angel Tree and Reverse Coin Drive November 28th-December 9th
Please stop by the office to pick up an Angel from our Angel Tree and/or drop off coins in our Reverse Coin Drive. All proceeds from the coin drive will go to benefit Liberty and KISD Families in need.
In the Reverse Coin Drive, each team is competing to be the Biggest Loser. The team with the most coins on December 9th will have to do the following on a later date:
Kindergarten: Students will get to dress their teachers up and put makeup on them
1st and 4th: Teacher water war - 1st grade teachers versus 4th grade teachers
2nd: Students will Silly String the teachers.
3rd: Teachers will dress up like Trolls
Co-Curr: Teachers will cover their faces in shaving cream and let students throw cheeseballs at them.
Specials: Teachers will dress like puppies and let students feed them “treats” in their dog house.
Lost and Found
Santa Arrives at Liberty on December 14th
Santa will be greeting Liberty students before he flies back to the North Pole. Families are welcome to attend, but will need to stay on the designated black top area.
BrightBytes Technology Survey
Keller ISD has partnered with BrightBytes to gather valuable insight from parents, teachers and students about our current technology environment.
BrightBytes is a web-based and research-driven tool that will help us evaluate our current technology resources. The data that we receive from this anonymous survey will help us determine areas in Technology we can celebrate as well as areas we need to improve. It will also help us understand the connection between technology use and student achievement.
With the data collected we can also make better decisions about Professional Learning trainings that we need to offer in Keller ISD. This will help our students and teachers to be better technologically prepared for the classroom and life after Keller ISD.
The survey is currently open and will close on January 2nd. You will find the link for the survey on your K-Cloud log in. Parents may access the survey through this link https://questionnaire.bbyt.es/campaigns/55c5348dfd2015ff7e41be49
We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your honest feedback.
We look forward to getting the information from this survey and better serving our staff and students. Results will be available for all survey participants in January 2017.
KISD Technology Drive
Keller ISD is hosting a Technology Drive from November 14, 2016, through January 12, 2017, allowing the community to donate their old devices to supplement campus technology resources.
The Drive will accept WiFi-capable smart phones, tablets, laptops, and even desktop computers, with an emphasis on mobile devices like phones and tablets. Devices donated will be refurbished by Keller ISD Career and Technical Education students, then distributed to campuses to check out to classrooms and students who request them.
Don't let that old device collect dust on a shelf or be thrown away; donate to the Keller ISD Technology Drive beginning November 14. Devices can be donated at any Keller ISD front office. Before donating, be sure you have restored the device to factory default settings and include any charging cables.
The KISD Technology Drive is a joint partnership between Keller ISD CTE, the College and Career Readiness division, and the KISD Technology Department. By donating a device to Keller ISD, you are releasing the District and its agents from any and all liability as it pertains to the donated device and information that is contained on the device.
