Teacher in the Workplace
Connecting Educators with Business and Industry
Check this out! PROJECT BASED LEARNING
Riverview IU6 will host the second year of Project Based Learning Because It's a Project Based World, a Teacher in the Workplace initiative. This is an enhanced professional learning series for teachers in Clarion, Clearfield, Jefferson, Forest, and Venango County school districts. Through partnerships with Workforce Solutions and NWPA JobConnect, we are able to offer two cohorts this year structured to promote deeper learning and instructional impact. Both cohorts include teacher externship events to connect teachers with local workforce partners, build industry-education networks, and spotlight essential, professional skills.Through the Teacher in the Workplace Externship program, teachers are provided experiences interacting directly with industry and business leaders. You will learn about industry trends, needs, and opportunities that they bring back to the classroom to enhance instruction, student learning, and career readiness.
