Checking E-mail In district
If you are in district, reading an encrypted E-mail should be the same as reading a regular E-mail. If you are checking your e-mail from out of district then you may have to follow these steps if prompted.
Checking an encrypted E-mail out of district
The e-mail should say that someone sent you a protected message.
- You will need to click the "Read the message" button in the E-mail.
- The message will send you a passcode to the same e-mail address the encrypted message came from.
- Enter the one time passcode into the E-mail to view the encrypted message.
You many now view the encrypted E-mail. The message could have these properties:
The email could prevent your from forwarding or printing. This message is secure.
- Encrypt-Only - This message is encrypted. Recipients can't remove encryption.
- Do Not Forward - Recipients can read this message, but cannot forward, print, or copy content. The conversation owner has full permission to their message and all replies.
