The Book Fair is Coming!
Excitement is building as decorations are going up! Preview days for this Fall's book fair are Thursday and Friday Dec. 4 and Dec. 5th. This is when teachers bring their students to preview the book fair and to create their wish lists.
The book fair officially opens on Monday, Dec. 8 at 7:00 a.m. with a Muffins with Moms event that morning. The rest of the week, the book fair will open at 7:15. As always, Carroll kids can enjoy lunch with someone grand throughout the week! Thursday, Dec. 11 is our Cocoa with Clifford Evening Event from 5-7 p.m. Drop off the kids at the Carroll Cafe while you shop the book fair - even get your books gift wrapped for a donation! The book fair will close at 3:30 Monday-Thursday and at noon Friday, Dec. 12.
Monthly Reading Log Program
Nov. / Dec. Reading Log
October's logs are in and there was a total of nine logs completed. I know we can increase that number for the Nov./Dec. log. It is already available on the library website. Print yours today and start logging your reading!
Bluebonnet Readers - Are you in?
There are a total of fifteen students who have read five Bluebonnet nominated books and completed a survey for each - congratulations! How many more students will read five so they can vote in the state-wide election for the 2015 Bluebonnet Book? We'll soon find out as all the deadline to complete surveys is Monday, January 26, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.
Earn a FREE Ticket to Six Flags Over Texas- Arlington!
Why not use the Christmas Break to get some extra reading in...and earn a free ticket to Six Flags! All students have to do is record six hours worth of reading (or being read to for our younger students). Visit the Carroll Library Programs page and scroll to the bottom to download the information sheet and the reading log. All reading logs are due to the library by Friday, February 20, 2015.
