Roosevelt Information

A few reminders so you can stay in the know:

~ February is I Love to Read month! Help us celebrate by taking a picture of your child reading at home. Feel free to include yourself in the picture or pets or cuddled up with a blanket, stuffed animal, etc. We want to spot our Roosevelt Raccoons reading everywhere. Email your picture to Sarah Heuer at sheuer1@isd77.org. We've received some awesome pictures...keep 'em coming!!! They will find their way to our TVs AND be on display throughout the school.

~ Valentine's Day: This is just around the corner! As a friendly reminder, if your child gives candy or food with a Valentine, it must be store bought and individually wrapped. Remember, you could also consider giving something that is not food. Due to our COVID restrictions, this is more important than ever! THANK YOU!

~ No School on Monday, February 14 as this is a full-day professional development day for teachers. This takes the place of our late start for the month of February.

~ PTO Meeting: The February PTO meeting is on Tuesday, February 8 at 5:30 pm in the Roosevelt Media Center. We work really hard to keep it to an hour, and we provide child care during that time. We are still on the hunt for a few parents who might be willing to "job shadow" a few different things (vice president, carnival help, etc.). This would be a great chance to put yourself out there and consider joining a FUN, AMAZING PTO! Really...we are a really fun group!

~ Yearbook Ordering Information: The time has come to order the 2021-22 Roosevelt yearbook. The last day to order is March 4th. The online ordering site direct link is below:

https://strawbridge.fotomerchanthv.com/search/YB114317 All Roosevelt 5th graders receive a FREE yearbook, courtesy of our PTO, so 5th grade families do not need to place an order.

~ COVID Info: If your child is exhibiting any symptoms, including common cold symptoms, please keep your child home. Also, if anyone in your household is testing, any unvaccinated individuals must remain at home.

Have a great day,

Ann Haggerty

Roosevelt Principal
