Scheduled Maintenance

To keep up with today's technology and keep the district's equipment up-to-date and secure, we will be doing regular scheduled maintenance of our servers and network. This will ensure less unplanned down-time. We have already begun the process by upgrading and adding several servers over the past two months. This week we are upgrading the print servers. We will schedule most of the upgrades after school or on the weekends to avoid interrupting instruction as much as possible. There will be times that we MAY have to do some maintenance during the day if we need to get the outside companies involved. We will give you as much notice as possible. Thank you.

Kahoot! empowers educators and captivates learners. Through the creation of a trusted learning space, educational content is delivered by asking meaningful questions in real-time, creating a social, fun and game-like environment.

Kahoot! flips the classroom with a pedagogy based on encouraging a loop from ‘learner to leader’ within the learning space, which maximizes the precious learning time spent in the classroom and empowers learners to lead.

Students can connect their cell phones to our wireless (crhs_guest) to also use this feature.

Recommendation from Martha Pearlman.

During the past month we have been monitoring U drive usage to determine the best solution to provide enough space for everyone and to create slimmer backups that will be faster to recover. Our determination is to give everyone 3.5 GB of U Drive space. (A 1 GB drive could hold 10,000 100 Kb documents). We are asking you to clean up your drives by removing anything that is unnecessary and items you have not accessed for over 3 years. Pictures and videos take up the most space, so going through them first will save quite a bit of room. You will receive alerts when your drive is at full capacity. If you have items that you only access once or twice a year or items that you want to access from home, you can use Office 365’s One Drive to store those documents. We will have training on this procedure November 18th during a PD session in the Middle School – Lab 418.
