Food Staff Providing Meals During School Closure

The Richards' food service staff will continue to provide meals through this closure from 2 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays in front of the school. Packages will include breakfast & lunch for five days. If this is an option your child will participate in please call the school at 417-256-5239 to reserve meals.

Student Belongings & School Returns

The schedule outlined below will be used for parents to pick up personal belongings and return school property including library books, classroom library books, uniforms and textbooks. Items may be picked up and dropped off by driving through the pick up line in the front of the main building.

Schedule for Pick up and Drop off:

Tuesday, April 21st: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, April 22nd: 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Tuesday, April 28th: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, April 29th: 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Tuesday, May 5th: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, May 6th: 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Any items not picked up after May 6th will be available for pick up at the beginning of next school year.

Grades & Awards Information

Fourth quarter grades will be figured based on third quarter grades with additional points added in for participation in packet completion and online learning opportunities. Grade cards will be mailed upon the completion of the school year. End of the year awards, with the exception of eighth grade, will be sent home with the last work packet. Eighth grade award disbursement will be dependent on the decisions made regarding Eighth grade graduation.


8th Grade Graduation/Awards Assembly will be held 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2020, in the school parking lot outside the FEMA entrance. Due to Covid-19 social distancing recommendations, we strongly suggest a maximum of 4 guests per 8th grade student. A seating area will be designated allowing space for 4 guests per student. We understand that some families may have more who want to attend; however, we hope that you recognize all families are experiencing the same difficulties, so we ask that extra guests remain outside the flagged area or choose not to attend. Please bring your own lawn chairs as we only have a limited number of folding chairs available.

Wingard photographers will be taking graduation pictures before the ceremony. If you choose to order picture packets, use the following link for ordering information. code ric2019; or you may call their office at 866-517-7469 or 870-435-7427 Mon.-Thurs. from 9:00 am to 1 pm.

For personal pictures of graduates, a backdrop will be available outside for individual student use after the ceremony for a limited time only as all guests will need to depart by 7:45 to allow time for cleaning and disinfecting purposes.

*If you are ordering pictures, students must arrive at 5:30 as photographers will begin promptly at 5:45. Otherwise, students must arrive by 6:00 to prepare for the ceremony - only graduates and ushers will be allowed in the building, must enter through the Fema doors, and report directly to the Bunch Gymnasium.

*Due to Covid-19 safety precautions regarding spacing and microphone cleanliness, there will be no student speeches this year, students will be walking in single file, and will be seated 6 feet apart.

- If you choose for your child not to participate in the ceremony, their diploma will be available for pick-up at the front office or will be mailed upon request. *For necessity only, restrooms will be available in the Fema lobby.
