What information is discussed?
Planning conferences are not like a typical academic Parent/Teacher conference. The focus is on the student's personal learning about career exploration, goal-setting, and plans for the high school transition. The student is present at this conference and is able to reflect on his or her learning while showcasing an important portfolio artifact.
"It's great to see a proactive approach to our child's future."
"I really enjoyed learning about what my child is interested in, sometimes he does not tell us much info at home. This was very helpful."
"I appreciated knowing about what students learned in their career class and learning how to use the Career Cruising website."
