Mining is the process of extracting minerals or non-minerals from the earth. A few examples of products that is mined are gold, silver, copper, nickel, oil, and coal.


What is mined and where it is mined

In Canada, resources that is mined are aluminum, coal, copper, diamonds, iron ore, nickel, uranium , oil, and coal. Aluminum, coal, copper, diamonds, iron ore and nickel can be found on the Canadian shield and the Great lakes and St. Lawrence lowlands.
