Join us for the 50th annual GermanFest on Friday, November 5 at the Klein High School Commons. Time is 5:00-6:00 pm and come experience and honor the German heritage with food, festivities, and performances. Klein First Families will be recognized on the football field prior to the game that evening. Hope to see you there!

GAME DAY STudent attendance

IMPORTANT CHANGES

Effective immediately for ALL sporting events for Hildebrandt for the 2021-2022 school year. All students that are staying as spectators for sporting events will need to go home before the events and will need to be dropped off at the scheduled time for the event. Students are no longer allowed to stay on campus after school and wait to attend the games. Students that do not follow the protocol going forward will lose the ability to attend future sporting events. We are implementing this change in order to ensure that we have appropriate supervision for all students.

IXL Question Challenge

We are challenging our ENTIRE campus to meet a goal of 300,000 IXL questions in the month of October. Monday's students work for 20 minutes on their Diagnostic (which tells them exactly what they need to learn) and Tuesday's and Wednesday's they work for 20 minutes each day on their recommended skills. Help us reach our goal!!

No Tardy Drawings!

We will be doing random drawings every quarter to celebrate our students that do not receive a single tardy for that quarter! All students who do not have a tardy will be eligible for these drawings.

Attendance Updates

We wanted to update you that, in addition to not tying attendance to exemptions this year, we are also not recognizing perfect attendance/providing attendance awards for the 2021-2022 school year. This is so we remain focused on the wellness and safety of our staff and students as a top priority and remain aligned with our health and safety protocols, namely that students who are ill should remain home until able to return to school.

IXL Resource

Want a way to help your child grow their Math and Reading skills at home?? Have them login to their IXL account (located on Student Dashboard) and work through their recommended skills based on their diagnostic tool! Our goal is for EVERY student to achieve 100 points of GROWTH on IXL. We will have 100 point GROWTH celebrations each quarter!

Want to see how your child is making progress this year? Ask them to see their data trackers! We are using them in all CORE content classes (Math, ELA, Science and Social Studies) and IXL progress as well as making goals for our HEART of a Mustang and MAP!


Encourage your child to share their academic goals with you and check in with them on their progress!

Student Expectations

Students are required to wear their lanyards and student ID badges daily.


  • If lost or forgotten: they can get a new one from the cafeteria BEFORE school or from the AP office DURING lunch.
  • These ID badges are used as their lunch and library card.

Student Dress Code

Hildebrandt follow the district Code of Conduct for dress code. Some highlights from our dress code:

  • Shorts, skirts and dresses must be mid thigh.
  • Shirts must be the appropriate length, no exposed midriffs.
  • Low cut, revealing camisoles and shirts will not be permitted.
  • Pants must be worn at the waist so that no undergarments are exposed.
  • Jeans with holes above mid thigh will need to have leggings or shorts worn underneath.
  • Pajama pants are not permitted.
  • No costumes
  • Shoes must have a hard bottom (Ex. No slippers are allowed)
  • No alcohol, tobacco or marijuana insignia or advertisements can be on clothing.
  • No type of head covering is to be worn in the building except for religious or medical purposes. Examples of head coverings not allowed are head scarves, bandanas, hats, caps and hoodies.

Students in violation of the dress code will be provided the opportunity to correct the problem at school and return to the classroom. If the problem can't be corrected at school , we will work with the student and parent to obtain an acceptable change of clothing for the student.



Administration reserves the right to address any clothing they feel is distracting to the learning environment.

Important Updates/Policies

Electronic Devices Reminder

Cell phones , air pods and other electronic devices are to be used at your own risk. Please make sure that you are keeping track of your personal items and locking them up during PE in your PE lockers.

Forgotten Items/Deliveries to Students

Student deliveries will not be made during class. Students will be notified to pick up their items from the front office during passing periods. We do NOT allow food deliveries from 3rd parties (ie, Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc.) Anyone that is dropping off an item for students must be notated on the student's Skyward account.

Transportation

BUS FINDER This will give you bus number, bus stop information and time of pick up and drop off


No transportation changes or early dismissals will be accommodated after 3:00 pm.


BUS TRANSPORTATION CHANGES:

Students may not ride a different bus unless it has been approved through the Assistant Principal's office. This request must be turned in to the AP Secretary, Ms. Wachel, by email, parent note or you may call her at 832-249-5068 no later than 10 am on the day of the change.
