HEALTH OFFICE UPDATE
Please note, students who are fully vaccinated (15 days from the 2nd covid shot) will NOT have to quarantine, unless signs/symptoms are showing.
Getting vaccinated will help give Minnesota’s teens the best chance to learn in person, participate in sports and activities, attend graduation and go to prom. Of course, they still need to remain vigilant in regards to masking, hand washing, and social distancing. And for those still too young to be vaccinated, testing is critical. Learn more about Minnesota’s no-cost, barrier-free testing options.
Resource: Vaccines for 16- and 17-year-olds
The Minnesota Department of Health has created a resource with information about COVID-19 vaccines for 16- and 17-year-olds.
At this time, the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is the only COVID-19 vaccine that has been studied and authorized for use by 16 and 17 year olds. Data from Pfizer vaccine studies show the vaccine is safe and effective for this age group. Other vaccine manufacturers are also studying their vaccines in younger age groups but have not yet received authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
There are spots within our community to get vaccinated!

Additional information will be coming regarding 12 years old + in the coming weeks regarding vaccinations. Please stay tuned!
