This Sunday is Father’s Day! We look forward to celebrating as Fathers, with Fathers and looking at God as our Father. We look to God as the prime example of what Fatherhood means. And we will be looking at the earthly father Jairus found in Mark 5. We will talk about how he followed Christ when everything was on the line. And what that meant for him as he had to wait for Jesus to move.

We will also have a treat for our dads as they leave and as well we will have what every Father’s day celebration should have: dad jokes.

PRAYER AND PRAISE

June 15-22, 2022

■ Praise the Lord for the many godly husbands and fathers at FAC. Pray that they will celebrate well with their families this weekend.

■ Praise the Lord for safe travel this past weekend for Stan, Jaynee, and Caleb Walder from Senegal back to the states for the Summer.

■ Pray for Dave Ciardi as he continues to struggle with bladder issues. Pray also for Kim and the boys as they support Dave.

■ Pray for Jean Bachelder recovering from a foot fracture last week.

■ Pray for the Coccia family as they have experienced 2 sudden deaths of relatives this week.

■ Pray for Cindy Sherman who was hospitalized overnight this week. Pray also for Steve as he cares for her.

■ Pray for registrations, volunteers, and scholarships for the upcoming summer basketball camp.

■ Pray for a ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine. Pray protection and safety for the Christian ministries who are serving there. Praise the Lord that Pastor Ovi was able to deliver supplies safely, deep into Ukraine last week.

■ Pray for Dawn Mattera as she makes plans to return to Romania for her Love From Above Ministry next month.

■ Praise the Lord for our summer Thursday evening Bible studies on the book of Job and the relations of our church to our culture. Pray for Pastor John’s leadership as he leads us.
