SMCS Mission
Preparing and inspiring students to lead meaningful lives, rooted in the teachings of Christ and our Catholic tradition.
Greetings from the Principal
Dear SMCS families,
It’s hard to believe that we have about a month left to the school year! I am looking forward to the end-of-year field trips and celebrations ahead. We will celebrate our fifth graders later this month as they prepare to transition to middle school. In today’s gospel Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit” (John 15:5). As I reflected on this passage, I thought of our fifth graders and the honor and privilege it is to provide a Catholic education “rooted in the teachings of Christ and our Catholic tradition.” My prayer is that these young students continue to bear much fruit as they transition to middle school just as they have done at our elementary schools throughout the years.
Many blessings,
Mrs. Anna Cihlar
SMCS Elementary Principal
Mary, Our Patron and Mother of Us All

Amen
