A Note From Ms. Hill
Dear Starr Families:
I hope everyone has found time to enjoy family and friends this summer through social distancing. I always find it a bit surreal when I look at the calendar and it's already July. I'm truly excited to get to August to see our Starr Coyotes back in the building.
Even though students and teachers haven't been in the building, Mr. Johnson (Starr Custodian) has been hard at work making sure every inch of our building is clean and ready for August. We appreciate his thoroughness as he makes sure our building is safe and sanitized.
Online registration is still up and running. CLICK HERE for more information about registering online. If you need your PowerSchool information, text message or call (859) 813-5546 with your name and your student's name. Your information will be sent to you within twenty-four hours. Registration will also be offered at Starr, August 3-5. More details will be shared on the times for registration on these days.
Wayne County Public School Districts shared a joint statement for reopening schools (see picture below). Richmond Community Schools will be sharing an individualized plan. When available, information will be shared at www.werrichmond.com and on social media. Starr Elementary will also share on ClassDojo.
Students have been out of the building since March 13th. With August just around the corner, it's important to begin preparing students for school. In order to support students' social and emotional needs, I've created a resource for families to begin to use at home. The resources provided are just a few ways self-regulation and calming strategies can be used. CLICK HERE
It is truly my pleasure to serve you and your child. #starrshines
Sincerely,
Ms. Mallory Hill
