January Newsletter
We are back into full swing of things. Last week our phonic skill was long i and digraphs. We are going to continue to work on long i this week and review long a. For a few more days I will be stretching out the story, Who Works Here? so there will be no spelling test this week. Instead I am sending home a snowman book report for homework.
We began our new incentive program earning pennies. If your child earns ten pennies they can have lunch with me in the classroom or read to another class. They have also been earning tally marks for positive behavior, when they earn five tally marks they get to dance to GoNoodle. They absolutely love this incentive.
Please remember to keep practicing at home with daily reading and math facts practice. The curriculum becomes more challenging as the year progresses.
I am trying a new website Smore for my newsletter this way I can email to everyone.
There will be no school Friday because of a professional day and no school Monday for Martin Luther King Day. Enjoy the long weekend. Go Pats!!!
