Segregation
1850 - 1964
The separation between black people, white people or anything.
The meaning of segregation is the action or state of setting someone or something apart from other people or things or being set apart. What do you think of when you hear that word. Colored people and white people separated? Would you like to see a world like this. We have before and still are to this day. One example of this happening today is in third world countries girls, and just girls, can't go to school. Yeah, that's segregation. I am here to just focus on American segregation.
How could we do this?
We know racial segregation is outlawed now, but when it wasn't everything was separated. Even classrooms were. Colored people on one side, white on the other, and they had two different teachers. I'm sad to say this is once how we lived, but we did.
