Never Too Old
Picture Books
C.S. Lewis once said...
"A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest."
When our older elementary students start reading chapter books, they start neglecting picture books. They think they're too old for the Everyone section. It's our task to convince them otherwise! The Everyone section has books on all reading levels and on many diverse topics. Some have strong, engaging themes that are just right for our older students to foster deep thinking and powerful conversations. The best way to get them into the Everyone section is to read or book talk picture books to them. Here are a few book lists to give you some ideas: Never Too Told and Good Reads .
