Pella High School Newsletter

November 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians:

As the month of October draws to a close, it marks the completion of our first quarter as well as our fall activities. The students’ focus and commitment to work while keeping attendance at a mark above 96 percent has been commendable. We appreciate your support in encouraging your child to put forth their best effort.

It has been a competitive fall athletic season for the Dutch and special thanks to the coaches, families, and athletes as they move on to postseason competitions. Our cross country teams both had great seasons and are moving on to state competition. The football team ended the regular season as district champions and are advancing on to state playoffs. Volleyball had a great season and were regional semi-finalists. We look forward to the excitement our winter activities bring!

A big congratulations to the Pella Dutch Marching Band for receiving a Division 1 “Superior” rating for the 44th straight year and 1st place overall at the Mid-Iowa Band Championships plus other amazing accomplishments such as best color guard and best percussion. Thanks to the band directors, parents, students, and supporters for the outstanding marching band campaign. The hard work and commitment of many made it such a wonderful season!

Thank you,

Adam Beckel, HS Principal

Derek Schulte, Assistant Principal

  • Fees Journal: under Fees > Under Person Select “All” or a specific person > Select this school year > Select Type as “Paid” (This will show you fees paid on/after July 1, 2019.)

Food Service Journal: under Food Service > Select a patron > Select your date range to preview. You will be able to see the money paid in/out and what that student ate each day.
