St. Jude Math-a-thon

Clarendon School began the Math-A-thon on Wednesday, February 8th, and it will run through Friday, March 10th. All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Check out this video link for more information. https://youtu.be/oQOBpZ2Nuuk

100TH DAY OF SCHOOL

100TH DAY OF SCHOOL

February 13th marked our 100th day of the school year. The day is a symbolic celebration of students' academic and personal achievements of the academic year so far. The 100th day milestone is often eagerly anticipated when the countdown begins following the holidays. Check out a few pictures of our school spirit days and activities.

Senior Citizen Valentine's Day Breakfast

On Tuesday, February 14th, the Clarendon staff and students along with the Mayor and Town Council invited all Secaucus Senior Citizens for a Valentine's Day Breakfast. The senior citizen’s enjoyed performances from our Kindergarten classes. Thank you Mayor Gonnelli, Town Council, Lisa Snedekier and her staff, Mrs. De La Cruz, and the Clarendon 5th grade students for organizing a wonderful event.

Clarendon Sweetheart Dance

On Wednesday, February 15th, Clarendon hosted its first ever Sweetheart Dance for Grades K-3. The children and their sweetheart had a wonderful time dancing, playing interactive dance games, enjoying arts and crafts activities and eating delicious sweets. Thank you to Mayor Gonnelli for his generous donations, the Clarendon PTA and to all the amazing Clarendon faculty and staff, custodial staff for making the evening a success.

READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK

During the week of February 27th thru March 3rd Clarendon School will be hosting our annual Read Across America activities, school spirit days and opening our doors to guest readers. If you would like to find out more information about being an in-person or virtual guest reader please reach out to your child's teacher or our Reading Specialist, Mrs. Valente (lvalente@sboe.org).

Outdoor Recess

Outdoor Recess

We will continue to make every effort to have our students outdoors during recess. In the meantime, please make sure to provide your children with appropriate clothing for cold weather.


Students will remain indoors during the following weather conditions.

  • Temperature and/or Windchill Temperature 32 degrees or colder

  • Snow, Rain, Sleet, Hail

  • Thunder/Lightning

Secaucus School District Calendar 2022-2023

Elementary School Dress Code

The Secaucus Board of Education requires to wear school uniforms on a daily basis, including field trips. Students are to arrive at school wearing the appropriate clothing as defined in the dress code. The following is a list of clothing items in compliance with the uniform policy.
