Wise Words

A ship in the harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are for.

For a Smile
Q: Why did the cell phone get glasses?
A: Because she lost all her contacts.
Q: How did the mobile phone propose to his girlfriend?
A: He gave her a ring.
Did you know?
2. Tigers' skin is actually striped, just like their fur. Also, no two fur patterns are alike.
3. It is impossible to hum while holding your nose. (Try it!)
LIBRARY LETTERS
Last week in the library we had a little fun after reading a poem about faces and a Cinderella story titled The Rough Faced Girl. Grades PK-2nd heard the story Stephanie's Ponytail. After literacy time students used cleaned plexi glass dividers to trace each others faces and draw one of Stephanie's hair styles from the story. Students really seemed to enjoy this activity!
BAND NEWS
Five students had an impressive showing at the audition for a Central Texas honors band
last Thursday. Every student placed in the top half of all students that competed. Lola Finch was one chair away from making a band (9th of 45), Cody Rohan made it into the second band, and Luke Stefek made it into the top band! Rylee Irisawa made an impressive 2nd chair out of 85 clarinets.
"I am very proud of these students and the hard work they put in." -Kyle Mikat
