OUR SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER
The School Resource Officer is a cooperative program that utilizes a uniformed police officer within the school systems in Camrose, Alberta. It is a joint effort with funding from Battle River School District, Elk Island Catholic Schools and the City of Camrose. It provides both a proactive and reactive resource for the schools within our city.
Our School Resource Officer, Const. John Fernhout provides support and educational programs for our grade 3 students. He is a member of the school and has a role supporting students. He is open to answer and support any students. His role inside the school is less about policing and more about community support and building relationships with students.
SCHOOL SAFETY PATROLLERS IN TRAINING!
We appreciate the ongoing support and patience by our parents who drop off/pick up their children. **Please be safe and use the designated crosswalks**.
Thank you to our grade 4 students who volunteered and their leader Ms. Gauthier for the work with the School Safety Patrol Program.
