Champion of the Week!

At Martin Elementary, we recognize students who go above and beyond during the school day. Teachers submit names for Champions of the Week and one student per grade level is chosen. They receive a certificate, a pencil, and have their picture taken to be placed on a bulletin board in the building. Below are the names of the Champions of the Week for the week October 3rd:

Kinder - Esmeralda B.

1st Grade - Naomi B.

2nd Grade - David H.

3rd Grade - Mayrin O.

4th Grade - Yaneli C.

Congratulations to each of them!

Please make sure your children are reading a good book and logging into the HUB to practice at least 30 minutes of IStation and iReady each evening. Also, remind them that we have the 40+ Book Challenge going on right now.

We are getting a library renovation to be completed Summer 2023!

Please take a moment to take the Library Wish List Survey so we can gauge what parents may want to see within the new library space. Your input will be taken into consideration and given to the design team as they move forward to finalize the plans. Click on the Library picture below to complete the survey.

Come take advantage of our free classes, learn, and have fun! See schedule below...

  • Thank you to our cleared volunteers who have already helped chaperone 3 successful field trips this year and helped during our Book Fair this week.
  • Thank you to our kinder and 3rd grade parents who made sure we had successful field trips this week.
  • Thank you to parents who made sure student permission slips were signed and brought back on time, lunches packed, and students in requested mode of dress with their ID badges on.

Field Trips have already started and becoming a cleared volunteer takes 3-4 weeks from start to finish.

If you would like to come to Martin and volunteer in different areas including Field Trips and school events, please click on the picture below to access the application. 2022-2023 applications are being accepted now.

Attendance Matters!

Every minute counts at Martin Elementary. From the moment our students our greeted at their classroom thresholds at 7:40 AM until the moment we dismiss at 3:20 PM, learning is happening. Martin overall attendance for September is 96%. Our campus goal is 98%. Please work with your children to ensure they are healthy and at school every day and arrive by the tardy bell of 7:55 am. If they are going to be absent, don't forget to send a note with your child upon their return.
