Principal's Notes and Highlights
Happy Wednesday!
We made it. At one point we were on Plan C after the Columbus Bowling Center lost power, but in the end everyone got where they needed to go and had a great time. A special thank you to all the volunteers who helped make today possible. We simply could not have done it without you. We also want to thank the BCSC bus drivers for carting us all over town at a moments notice. I also want to give the Columbus Fire Department a special THANK YOU for cooling off our students. Best ending ever.
We did end our year without one special young lady who was in our minds and hearts today. Brody (1st Grade) gave bracelets to every student and teacher (photo). We sure miss that young lady and she would have loved today. During our morning meeting we remembered Savanna during our Moment of Silence and promised to make this a great day.
It was a day of P's. Popcorn, popsicles, potato chips, and pizza. This afternoon we fed them leftover pizza, donuts and hot chocolate before we sent them home. You're welcome. :)
- At the 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony we recognized Greta Hemmerlein and Henry Sims as the winners of the 2018 Leader of the Pack Award. This is a new award for our school. They were selected by our CIC and were nominated by staff members. Greta and Henry were chosen from six finalists (Eliot Conner, Bryan Gonzalez, Henry, Melia Hubbard, Janelly Villalobos, and Greta). This award goes to a student who shows a high level of integrity, character, and loyalty. They should participate in activities both in and out of school. Students also are expected to have a strong work ethic in the classroom. Their names were added to a perpetual plaque (photo) that will be displayed in our school. Congrats to Greta and Henry!
- Move Up Day was yesterday and your children had an opportunity to meet their new teacher. We did have two teachers who were unable to attend as they are working elsewhere. They shared a video message with their students and I've included them below.
- Mr. Shipley's class created a couple of videos this past week. I've included them for your viewing. Can you tell it was the last week of school?
- A parent reminded me this week that I forgot to share the gender of baby Findley . We found out that we are having a girl and are very excited!
Thank you for all that you have done to make this an incredible year. I appreciate your support. We (CSA Lincoln Staff) are so fortunate to have such wonderful students attend our school. Thank you for being a part of the CSA Lincoln family!
Have a great summer!

PTO Update
Box Tops Expiration Date -
Unfortunately, the next Box Tops expiration date is 6/30/18 which means that you may have some at home that will expire over summer break. Please continue to turn in your Box Tops through the end of the school year so that we can make sure to get them submitted and not have to throw them away in the fall. There's nothing sadder than a pile of expired Box Tops! 😥
Don't be afraid, it's just an email...
PTO email is a great NO PRESSURE way to learn about volunteer opportunities and jump in where you can, if you can, in whatever capacity you can. If you don't have the time or resources to participate in one opportunity simply DELETE the email and maybe the next opportunity will be one you can get involved with. We LOVE our parent volunteers and couldn't pull off all of the fun stuff we do without you so if you aren't currently on the PTO email list but would like to change that, send us your request to be added to ptocsalincoln@gmail.com!
