One Team! - April 7th Edition
Phase 2 Distance Learning
Dear Gayman Families,
Yesterday, the Central Bucks School District moved into Phase 2 of our distance learning plan with new learning beginning to take place. With this new model, student participation is now mandatory. Please know, we understand that many families have multiple children and parents that are continuing to work during this time. Therefore, our teachers developed flexible schedules that will provide our students time for check ins, office hours, and prerecorded lessons and activities that can fit into each individual family routine. While our shared goal is to provide direct instruction for new learning, we also recognize the need for flexibility.
Thank you, as always for your ongoing support. I hope your family is safe and healthy.
Kelly Carter

Tech Support from Mr. Shaw
Hi Gayman Families,
My name is Mr. Jesse Shaw and I have been your child's QUEST teacher at Gayman this year. I will continue to provide a STEM based special class via my teacher website and Seesaw - but I also wanted to highlight another aspect of my work at Gayman. In addition to teaching QUEST, I am the building Educational Technology expert and provide coaching, advice, and support to your students (and their teachers) during the school day. I would like to extend that support to you in our current Distant Learning environment. I have a 4th Grader, a 2nd Grader, and a Pre-K student myself in CBSD - I get where you're at right now. We're all in this together and since I have lots of answers to technical trouble - please reach out and ask.
My email is jshaw@cbsd.org and you can message me on Seesaw too.
I hope you and your family are well and can't wait to see everyone again soon - Go Mustangs!
From, Mr. Shaw
Student Placement 2020-2021
Even though our building is closed, the school year is still moving forward. Therefore, over the next few months, we will begin the process of assigning students to an appropriate class for the 2020-2021 school year. Our goal is to ensure that each child is in a class that has an appropriate balance of students with the proper teacher.
Class placement is made after reviewing a considerable amount of data. If you feel that we would benefit from additional information, you are welcome to send an email directly to me at kcarter@cbsd.org by May 1st. Consider describing a classroom environment that would be beneficial to your son/daughter. In addition, share any information regarding academic, social or emotional information that you would like us to consider. You should not name a specific teacher. District staffing is not complete until June and teaching assignments may change. Please use this opportunity to speak to your child's strengths and needs. Please note: requests for specific teachers will not be considered.
Thank you,
Kelly Carter
