Soaring Over MDE

Week 15

Week 15

With only 2-weeks left of the 2020 part of the school year, I think we all can say we are ready to see 2020 come to an end. I hope everyone had an enjoyable week off! I know the break was not "normal" by any means. But, it was still nice to see friends and family (even if by Zoom only.)

You may begin to notice that our Instagram page is starting to get daily updates of photos from our staff in interesting outfits. Please follow us on Instagram to see our daily antics. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mount_diablo_elementary/

Coming December 14-18, will be a school-wide spirit week. See the image below for details.

Soup kits will start to make their way home next week as well. Please take photos and share them with us. Here is a link to the recipes and slides from the Garden Program.

Student Newspaper issue #2 is hot off the press! Please take a look at the folder that has been created to house all the issues. Thank you to the amazing 5th graders that are writing, collaborating, and editing each issue on their own time! I am so very proud of each and every one. Issue #2

As of right now, picture day is still on 12/17 & 12/18! Photos will be taken by APPOINTMENT ONLY. If you have not done so, please fill out the time slot for your appointment. Here is the link to the sign-up: SIGN-UP Here. If you are not able to make it, there will be another option for submitting a photo for the yearbook. (More information to come regarding procedure for both photo day(s) and submitting a photo.

I continue to appreciate those of you that have reached out to speak to me about concerns, questions and praise that you have for our site, myself and our teachers. Those of you that have not yet reached out, please feel free to contact me in any way. Below you will find all my contact information. I want to know how we are doing!

Sincerely,

Katie Sanchez
