ACT/SAT
ACT/SAT Parent Survey 2022-2023
The State of Oklahoma requires that a college- and career-readiness assessment be given to every 11th grade student enrolled in our schools. Each district is given the choice between the ACT or the SAT. Edmond has administered the ACT to all 11th grade students for the past three years. We have worked to embed the ACT standards in our curriculum and have sent many teachers and administrators to ACT training. However, before making this decision for next year, we are required to gather input from our high school parents and teachers to make sure we are administering the test they would choose. Click the link below to complete the one question survey.
Thank you.
Attached are two flyers for June and July, ACT Classes. Students and parents may contact Steve Bowlware at, steve.bowlware@gmail.com. Also, you may find out more information and register for the class at bowlwareactprep.com.

2022 SENIOR BOOK
The link to the google form for the 2022 Senior Book was sent out to student emails and the Senior Remind last week, and again this week. Parents, please check with your senior to see that this was done. Answers to this form will help create the actual book which seniors will sign when they pick up their diploma/ student file/ transcript in June. Things the form include:
- An email we can send diploma pick up instructions to after they graduate.
- Where to send their final transcript if they're going in the fall (college/ university/ tech/trade school) It will serve as permission for us to send their transcript if they are unable to get Parchment order for that in.
- If they're going to a school in the summer.
- Military interest
ALL SENIORS need to fill it out, EVEN if they're taking a gap year, working, or not going to a school in the fall. It helps us to have the most accurate information, and makes creating the book much easier. If anything changes, answers can be changed by clicking the edit button in the receipt the form will send you after you submit, OR you can just email Melanie Bailey melanie.bailey@edmondschools.net
DIPLOMA PICK UP
Students will receive their diploma cover when they walk during Commencement on May 13th, but the actual paper diploma and final transcripts will not be available until June 15th. Parents can pick these up for their students for up to 1 year after they graduate. Starting June 15th, graduated seniors will be able to come and get their diploma, their student cumulative file, and an unofficial copy of their final transcript. Transcripts will also start being sent to the schools seniors have placed orders for that day.
***IMPORTANT*** Financial holds WILL prevent us from releasing diplomas and final transcripts (even electronically). Please take care of any missing class fees or fines and be sure to return all chromebooks, chargers, text books and library books BEFORE you come to pick your diploma up.
Please visit our site with recommended scholarship resources, notable regional scholarships, and helpful links, dates, and college assistance information. The site updates as new scholarships and opportunities are available.
CONCURRENT for NEXT YEAR'S Seniors
If you are still thinking about taking Concurrent classes and have not met with your counselor yet, please read below.
Please go to CANVAS to the Junior Counseling Corner
.WATCH the video that explains everything you need to know.
Print out the EMHS Concurrent Agreement Form (or pick one up in the counseling office) and get it signed by a parent.
That form needs to be returned to your counselor ASAP.
In the meantime, you need to:
* apply to the concurrent college/university of your choice. This is done on the college/university website.
* go to the Request Transcript tab on the Junior Counseling Corner in CANVAS and request to have your high school transcript sent to your concurrent college/university.
Once your counselor receives the signed agreement form from you, they will meet with the student to discuss the details.
Seniors
Graduation is almost here! ALL Seniors need to have completed these items ASAP:
- Register their Parchment account (If they haven't yet). This will be how students will request that their final transcripts be sent to colleges or trade schools for the summer/fa, and even send to some employers. Even if students are planning on taking a gap year, PLEASE make sure they've set up their account. For convenience, a registration link was sent to their school email address. This will prefill most of the student/school information. Students just need to be sure to change the email from their school email to a personal email. (to make resetting passwords easier after they graduate and no longer have access to their edmondschools.net email address.) If they have any issues/ questions, please contact Melanie Bailey in the Counseling Office
JUNIORS
Juniors and Junior parents/guardians, please join the official Class of 2023 Remind. This is the easiest way for us to communicate everything related to graduation and senior events.
