TVUSD COMMUNITY CONNECTION
March 17, 2023
April 28, 2023
It has been an extremely busy week in TVUSD! I had the pleasure of attending the Annual California School Boards Association “Coast-to-Coast” conference with members of our Governing Board in Washington, D.C., to advocate on behalf of our students. Topics such as the need for more special education funding and less restrictions on nutritional programs, as well as the nationwide staffing shortage and teacher recruitment efforts were main points of conversations. Look for more information on this trip in the next newsletter, as we’re currently making our way home.
Back at the district, Thursday evening was our first TVUSD-wide CTE Completer Ceremony in the TVHS stadium, where more than 400 students were recognized for completing a CTE pathway during their high school career. In addition, chef Leah Di Bernardo, Temecula’s Citizen of the Year, shared her thoughts on the importance of being a “giver” and finding your purpose.
We are so proud of these programs in TVUSD and all these students for completing their CTE Certificate. We can’t wait to see them flourish in the industries they are pursuing. This is an exciting season for our students as we wrap-up the 2022-23 school year with many celebrations!
