A Message From Mrs. Salas:

Dear Runyan Families,

We are looking forward to see our roadrunners tomorrow for our first day of school. Please ensure your child's teacher knows how your child will get home the first day of school. We will not be counting tardies the first day of school. To help with traffic flow, we recommend all students with the last name beginning with A-L be dropped off between 7:30 and 7:45. We recommend all students with the last name beginning with M-Z be dropped off between 7:45 and 8:00. We will have staff around the building to help students get to their classrooms. Only bus riders should enter through the bus ramp doors. Parents are welcome to walk their child to class on the first day of school.

Dismissal will begin early the first day of school. Please be patient as we work through our car rider line process, as parents learn the traffic pattern, and as bus drivers learn their routes. All car riders will need a car rider sign with a barcode on the first day of school. See car rider information below. Our number one priority is for all students arrive to and from school safely. Please be cautious as traffic is busy the first day.

After the first day of school, our doors will be open at 7:30 for all students. Our official school time will be 8:00 to 3:10. The tardy bell will ring at 8:00 and dismissal will begin at 3:10.

To allow our students to get acclimated to school and to learn procedures, we will not have any lunch visitors until August 24th. Parents are welcome to sign up to come and eat with their child using the same procedures as last year.

Car Rider Procedures

Students received a car rider sign with a barcode at Meet the Teacher Night. If you couldn't make it, there will be a designated table in the morning where you can get a car rider sign with a barcode. You can also come get one from the front office before 2:00 p.m. If you need additional car rider signs, please email your child's teacher. She will send them home in your child's backpack.

Anytime a student’s designated transportation is to be different, parents must write a note, send a fax, or email by 2:00 p.m. informing the teacher/school of the change. We cannot accept verbal requests over the telephone. Please send a copy of your ID along with the fax or email.

Car riders will be picked up in the car line that starts at the front of the school. Please remain in your car and wait for a school employee to assist your child. Please do not motion for your child to come to you and please do not walk up with the car sign to pick up your child. If you designated your child as a car rider, please remain in your car. Signs provided by the school should be readily available with your child’s barcode showing. A staff member will scan the barcodes. The sign ensures that we are placing each child in the car of the person authorized to pick him/her up from school and will help to speed up the car rider line.

If you are picking up more than one child, please show each sign with the barcode showing.

If you pull into the line at school and you do not have a sign, you will be asked to park your vehicle and go to the front office to obtain one. Be sure to have your ID ready for verification. You will then need to return to the car rider line or wait until the car rider line is done to to pick up your child. Children will not be placed in a car without the appropriate sign. Before pulling away, we want to make sure that every child is buckled in a seat belt. We want everyone to have a safe ride home.

Registration Verification:

Conroe ISD has sent an email to all parents of students that were enrolled, last school year, to verify their students enrollment for the 2022-23 school year. Also, this gives you the opportunity to update all of your information (email, address, phone numbers, emergency contacts, etc.). Please check your email and spam mail for this very important link, Snapcode, and process so that your child is accounted for. The link to the Registration Verification can also be accessed by clicking HERE.

If you cannot find your email and/or Snapcode, please contact the school and we will be happy to help you.

Attention: School Meals

Meals will no longer be free for all students for the 2022-2023 school year.

For the 2022-2023 school year, families must complete an application to receive meals at a free or reduced rate. Visit for more information. Applications can be completed online beginning July 20, 2022, at
