Thanks to all our families who supported our PTSA fundraiser at Chuck E. Cheese! There was a great turnout and students enjoyed seeing each other outside of school. Thank you for supporting our PTSA!

We hope you can join us for our second PTSA association meeting of the 2022-23 school year. We will be meeting on Tuesday (11/8) from 5:30-6:30 PM in Rm 50.

We will begin with PTSA business, followed by a presentation titled "Keeping Kids Safe, Happy, and Healthy in the Digital Age", presented by Val Seita, VUSD District Librarian. The presentation will be in English and Spanish, and childcare will be provided.

Our PTSA is planning a family movie night on Thursday, November 10th! Thursday (11/10) is a minimum day and there is no school on Friday (11/11) in recognition of Veterans' Day. The event will be held in our multi-purpose room (MPR) and will begin at 6:00 PM. There is no cost to watch the movie, and concessions will be sold for a reasonable fee. Flyers with more information will go home soon!

As a school, we bring a lot of cars into the neighborhood and that can be tough on neighbors. For that reason, we are reminding staff and families to please be extra cautious when parking in front of houses on Robin Dr. Here are some things to consider:

• Do NOT block driveways
• Ensure mailboxes can be accessed
• Be careful to not go up curbs onto homeowners’ front yards (there are no sidewalks and the curbs are rounded, so it’s easy to accidentally do!)

VUSD is currently working to develop a new English Learner Master Plan. This will be a collaborative effort that will improve support to English Learners district-wide. Staff, students, families, and the community are invited to participate in this work. The event is on Wednesday, December 7, from 5:30-7:00 PM at the District Office. Click HERE to register.

Tulare County Library 2022 Book Festival

Pick up books and meet authors at the Tulare County Library's 2022 Book Festival this Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at 200 W. Oak Ave. For more information go to tularecountylibrary.org.

Circle J Astronomy Night

Circle J Norris Ranch will be hosting our last Family Astronomy Night of the school year on Friday, November 18, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. RSVP via email or text message as space is limited: circlej@tcoe.org or 559-359-8575.
