Friendly Visitor Program!

@ Episcopal SeniorLife

Interest meeting on October 21st at 12:15-1:00 (lunch hour) GAC 127

The Friendly visitor program is an off campus volunteer opportunity where students are paired with a senior in a residential community. You will be building a relationship with and providing companionship for a senior in a Rochester neighborhood. This opportunity allows for flexible hours and the ability to use a more personal approach while building volunteer experience.

You create your hours! This is similar to the adopt a grandparent program, and is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to work in gerontology, a public service field or health service.

** At this meeting we will also be discussing a volunteer opportunity through Episcopal SeniorLife where students can help organize, participate in and attend a Legislative Reception where seniors share their personal stories/opinions with legislators.
