ADVENT SERVICE/SUPPER today & December 18th
GRADES 1-8 CHRISTMAS SERVICE INFORMATION
Saturday, December 14, is the Grades 1-8 Christmas Service
at 3:30 & 5:30 pm.
Because of possible parking and seating congestion, we are encouraging parents whose child's last name BEGINS in A-L attend the 3:30 pm service, while the parents whose child's last name BEGINS in M-Z attend the 5:30 pm service. The children are expected to attend both services.
More details below:
- You may arrive as early as 2:30 pm for the first service and 4:30 pm for the second service. For the first service, children are to sit with their parents until 3:10 pm, at which time they should report to their classrooms.
- Children will receive a snack in their classrooms between the services.
- Once the pre-service music begins, we ask that out of courtesy to the musicians, you listen quietly and silence your cell phones.
- Pictures may be taken by the Christmas tree at the following times: 2:30-2:50 & 4:30-4:50, or after the 2nd service.
- Students are to be picked up in their classrooms immediately after the 2nd service.

Special Thanks to Grades 5-8 from Trinity’s Evangelism Commission
Thanks to our students and parents for being Christmas shepherds and delivering packets of 10 Christmas invitations to homes in their neighborhood as well as to family and friends to welcome them to worship the Christ-child at Trinity Lutheran this Christmas. On 12/9, President Oertel, Evangelism Commission leader Jason Scherer, and Pastor Oelhafen gave a presentation to the TLS students in grades 5-8 to help them learn how to share their faith at Christmas and deliver invites with a parent to guide them. The goal was to help the students realize how easy, important, and even fun it is to share Christ with a world that doesn’t know Him. The students enthusiastically responded. Our Trinity staff is also modeling how to share their faith by sharing these invitations with others.. In fact, a recent survey found that 57% of people are likely to attend church with someone at Christmas if they were invited. Extra business cards are in the church/school offices.. Please speak with Evangelism chairman Brad Tildahl 262-203-1272 or Pastor Oelhafen 262-442-8568 if you need any help. We are praying for you.

The Board of Elders have placed large food barrels to collect food on Trinity’s Campus as part of a larger Good Samaritan effort to directly support our Waukesha Food Pantry. From now until 1/5/20, please bring your non-perishable, non-expired food items, a complete list of items are on the barrels, to help feed our @1200 hungry neighbors who come to the Pantry every week. Our Savior Jesus has told us: “Love one another” (John 13:34). Will you help Trinity help our neighbors?
Thanks for your kind support and please share this opportunity with anyone. This Thanksgiving and Christmas, let’s thank God for all our blessings and connect with our community with Christian love.
DID YOU KNOW if you miss bringing in your offering for Wednesday chapel, you can drop it into the offering plate at Trinity over the weekend and the school will receive it to forward to our Mission Project.
