This book is about a young basketball player named Greg (slam) Harris, who is one of the best in his school at what he does. He soon realizes sports aren't everything,school is just as important if he wants to be bale to play. With the support of his coaches, family, friends and girlfriend, he is trying to raise his grades while still staying at the top of his basketball team.

Walter was considered one of the most preeminent writers for children, he wrote many great books such as Fallen Angels, Monster, Jazz, Harlem, etc. He had a speech impediment that made it hard for him to say certain words, so he instead used his amazing writing skills instead. These skills had paid off for him in the long run, sadly, Walter died July 1, 2014, but his legacy as a writer will carry on through the stories he wrote.
