Planning Ahead for Catholic Schools Week
Themed dress-down days will be the same for all grade levels. PK3 and PK4 may have adjusted activities that will differ from those on the calendar below; be on the lookout for details from your student's PK teachers.
In addition to the activities and themes listed on the calendar below, our school will observe the following saints by:
Saint Vincent De Paul- Bring in non-perishable food donations for the food shelf.
Saint Jerome- Bible quizzing each day for morning assembly
Saint Elizabeth of Hungary: The lunch staff surprises 1 lower school and 1 upper school student each day with a sticker on their lunch trays, which earns a prize.
Saint Kateri Tekakwitha: Use the paper bags from breakfast to create something; we’ll make a display of the creations for display in the hallway.

Re-enrollment Contracts Due Next Friday
The blue enrollment contracts were sent home with the youngest person in the family last Friday, January 28. If you did not receive one yet, please let Mrs. Morrison or Mrs. Nordenson know! Enrollment contracts must be returned by February 11th in order to secure your seat for next year.
To qualify for the early bird special families must:
* Return their contract plus $150 seat deposit(s) by Feb 11.
* Pay their student accounts, in full, from the 2021-22 academic year by June 1.
Enrollment for new families will begin on March 1st! Don't lose your seat! Return your contract as soon as possible!
Strep Throat Alert
It may feel like just yesterday, but it was in fact two weeks ago when we shared this same message. A new case of strep throat was reported this week in the upper school.
Please be on the lookout for the following symptoms - which may be mild to severe:
Complaints of sore throat - it may hurt to swallow and there may be white patches
Tender glands in the neck
Fever - good indicator, but not always present - may have chills
General ill feeling - headache, nausea, loss of appetite
Doctors treat strep throat with antibiotics which should be taken as prescribed even if symptoms are gone after only a few days. Untreated, strep can lead to serious complications. BJAMS' policy is that your student must be on antibiotics for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
Please consult your family doctor with any questions or concerns you may have regarding strep throat.
COVID Update
Meanwhile, we continue to offer Test to Stay to unvaccinated, asymptomatic students who are identified as presumptive contacts. Since we have returned from Christmas break, the school has conducted 287 tests and has identified 6 cases.
The school is thankful for your quick communication and adherence to the school's protocols. We hope to be on the other side of this very soon!
