If this was my son's writing prompt, I would tell him, "Here are a few deed/memories I have of you that make your monument."

1. Every day you ask me about how may day went.

2. You are empathetic towards others, always looking for the positive.

3. You make me laugh.

We would then talk about each one, sharing examples and more details.

Friday-Sunday:

While you are spending time together, connect what we are learning at school to the real world. Notice and discuss changes in the sky, in the trees, and in the weather. Notice and discuss math in real life situations. Read together. When watching movies, discuss the theme, the life lesson. Notice interesting words and figurative language. Learning isn't meant to be isolated to the classroom. Learning is being engaged in the moment, noticing, wondering, and investigating.
