Santa Collects Toys in WSD3
The district's Positive Action Team (PAT) collected toys from each school, Security Public Library and the Fountain Valley Senior Center Thursday. The toys were dropped off at the Security Fire Department and will be given out to 141 families, 200 children in our community. Thank you to all who participated this year. Grizzly Way Club Helping Families In Need
Retired Legends
The board of education recognized Daryl and Kathy Grantz as Widefield School District 3 "Retired Legends." The Grantz gave 30 years to the district and continue to be involved today.
DHS Students Donate to Humane Society
Discovery High School student council partnered with the Pikes Peak Humane Society and collected 58 items from its wish list and $17. Students delivered the donations this week.
Hoops 4 Hope
Mesa Ridge Student Cabinet held it's annual Hoops 4 Hope charity basketball game last night. Security Fire department versus El Paso County Sheriff's office. They raised $700 and 30+ toys, all of which are going to the WSD3/Security Fire annual toy drive.
180 Club Special Delivery
The 180 Club at Widefield High School will be delivering 29 boxes of food on Saturday to families in our community. The club would like to thank the students and staff at WHS for all their support. A

Professional Development at WSD3 Preschool
The staff at North Preschool spent the last day before break doing activities around value of play for building problem-solving, concept development, depth of knowledge and cooperation.
WHS Student Book Drive
Widefield High School's senior council held a book drive and donated the books to students in the LifeSkills program. #PositiveImpact
Students Create Colorado Flag Sign
The third grade at Widefield Elementary was commissioned by State Farm Insurance Agency to create a six-foot long Colorado flag (with mountains) on a wooden sign. Below are the progression pictures and a picture of the students who helped. The students sent the sign to State Farm yesterday just in time for the holidays.
Families at Pinello Receive Special Santa Surprise
The 4th Judicial District Attorney's office adopted several families from Pinello this year for Christmas. Today students and their siblings were given gifts from Santa Claus himself. In return, the students performed a wonderful Christmas poem.
